Job Description:

The IT Service Desk Technician I is responsible for the timely delivery of quality technical support services to employees at all TEP office locations, as well as in the field. This requires knowledge of both TEP's hardware and software systems, and effective personal management skills.

The Service Desk Technician I will perform primarily technical support tasks. Common tasks will include answering telephones, communicating with employees, diagnosing hardware and software malfunctions, troubleshooting problems, replacing hardware, setting up new hires, and installing new software on employee machines.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for assuring that employees are provided efficient and timely first level support
• Invokes problem escalation procedures
• Follows decisions made by IT Director to improve the department's support of employees
• Contributes to productivity and departmental objectives by participating in training programs
• Accurately communicates pertinent information
• Interacts with employees while utilizing a high degree of tact and diplomacy to promote a positive image of the IT department
• Resolves problems in a professional manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Director

Education Desired:

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Desired Certifications:

• CompTIA A+

Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
