Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Labor/Janitorial Associate to join our manufacturing facility team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment that supports our production operations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with hand and power tools, and familiarity with warehouse or factory settings. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment while developing valuable skills in facility maintenance and operational support.
Duties
Perform general cleaning and janitorial tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the manufacturing facility, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation of work areas.
Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, equipment cleaning, and ensuring tools are organized and in good condition.
Support assembly line operations by handling materials, organizing supplies, and ensuring smooth workflow.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely to move materials and products within the facility.
Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, disassembly, or repair tasks as needed.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and safety equipment; report shortages or issues promptly.
Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with team members across departments to support manufacturing processes and maintain operational efficiency.
Skills
Proven experience in factory or manufacturing environments; warehouse experience is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
Familiarity with assembly line processes and manufacturing procedures.
Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cleaning, maintenance, and material handling.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively within diverse teams.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
