About the Role
The Company is seeking a remote CIO/CTO with a strong background in merchant acquiring to join their leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the technology vision and roadmap in alignment with business objectives, leading the development of innovative payment processing solutions, and ensuring the company remains at the forefront of technology advancements in the payments industry. This role requires a deep knowledge of the payment ecosystem, including transaction processing, card networks, and fintech integrations, as well as expertise in modern payment technologies such as cloud computing, API integration, blockchain, and mobile payments. The CIO/CTO will also be tasked with overseeing the development and maintenance of secure, scalable, and efficient payment solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or equivalent management qualification being a plus, and at least 10 years of experience in IT leadership, particularly in the payments or financial services industry. The role demands a strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to technology and innovation, strong business acumen, and a focus on driving results and enhancing profitability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale, secure payment processing platforms, leading cross-functional teams, and driving product innovation. Experience with agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, and a strong background in cybersecurity and incident response are also essential. The CIO/CTO will be expected to manage vendor relationships, lead a technology team, and utilize data analytics to optimize transaction processes and improve the overall payment ecosystem.
