A bit about us: We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team. This role will be a part of our construction division, where you will be responsible for various welding and fabrication tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG, Tig, and Stick welding. Job Details Responsibilities:
1. Perform welding duties using a wire welder on various metals like carbon steel and stainless steel.
2. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
3. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
4. Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
5. Set up, troubleshoot, and operate welding machines according to job specifications and welding procedures.
6. Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
7. Keep your work area clean and organized.
8. Follow, create, and help maintain welding procedure specifications.
9. Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
10. Regularly inspect equipment and structures, identifying any defects and implementing corrective actions.
11. Perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator with strong mechanical aptitude.
2. Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. Familiar with carbon and stainless steel.
3. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
4. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
5. Have basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
6. Professional certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
