Marshfield Clinic – Marshfield Children’s is seeking a compassionate RN, Outpatient to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our pediatric outpatient department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in an ambulatory clinic setting as part of a large, integrated health system serving central and northern Wisconsin. You will be responsible for assessment, triage, care planning, and ongoing management of pediatric patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Daily responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining histories and vital signs, administering medications and immunizations, providing age-appropriate patient and family education, coordinating tests, labs, and procedures, and assisting providers during exams and minor procedures. You will use evidence-based nursing practice, clinical protocols, and pediatric-specific standards to support safe, effective care while documenting accurately in the electronic health record. As a key member of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with pediatricians, specialists, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, social workers, and other allied health professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and a positive patient experience. The role emphasizes clear communication, thoughtful care coordination, and proactive follow-up, including telephone triage, care advice within protocol, and support for transitions between inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, population health efforts, and patient safety projects that advance outcomes for children and families.
