Executive Director, U.S. HCP Marketing, KarXT Alzheimer's Disease Psychosis (ADP)

The Executive Director, U.S. HCP Marketing, KarXT Alzheimer's Disease Psychosis (ADP) will serve as the leader accountable for maximizing the commercial potential of KarXT, while improving the lives of as many patients as possible with in ADP.

This position is responsible for leading a team of direct reports focused on HCPs, care partners, and customer experience while being a critical member of other cross-functional teams including but not limited to R&D, Medical, MAx, and Global Commercial. The ED of U.S HCP Marketing, KarXT ADP will drive the achievement of both short and long-term business and patient goals and objectives while continuously developing the ADP market. Additionally, the incumbent will need to skillfully navigate rapidly changing internal and external environments, make well-informed strategic choices and recommendations, and demonstrate a proficiency for excellence in execution. This leader should have significant experience across multiple commercial functions, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a track record of developing high performing teams and individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The ED for U.S. HCP Marketing, KarXT ADP will be responsible for leading across the matrix all aspects in the HCP marketing of this key asset, from strategic choices through initiative and tactical execution, with full P&L ownership and accountability for delivering against financial targets and key metrics.
  • Lead the development of U.S. brand plans and serve as a key member of teams focused on longer term planning across commercial, medical, MAx and R&D.
  • With U.S. marketing team, develop routine business reviews for senior leadership; establish and refine key metrics for evaluation of performance against goals and diagnosis of areas for improvement and opportunity.
  • Accelerate the uptake of KarXT in ADP with HCPs and care partners through the diagnosis of obstacles and accelerators, and develop sequenced initiatives and resource deployment for optimized effect
  • Lead ongoing development of U.S. ADP market, and any other anticipated or approved disease states, subject to good compliance with laws and regulations
  • Continue to build a team of top commercialization professionals and marketers with diverse talents, experiences and perspectives to support commercialization, and lead this team with a strong attention to detail for continuing launch excellence.
  • Partner with internal and external advocacy and policy groups, key opinion leaders and other stakeholders to continue to establish BMS as a leader in neuroscience medicine generally and ADP specifically.
  • Working in close partnership with Global colleagues, provide relevant insights into future product development decisions for life cycle management strategy.
  • Ensure all strategies, plans and tactics are aligned with legal and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBA or other advanced business degree preferred; BA/BS required; Life sciences degree or equivalent desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years pharmaceutical commercialization and/or medical experience required; customer-facing role(s) strongly preferred, including in a supervisory or leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated, measurable track record of success versus financial and other business goals for multiple brands, whether as a brand lead or in a supportive role
  • Success with launch brand or major indications preferred, via some combination of pre-launch, launch and/or early brand life cycle timeframes
  • Demonstrated success in the evaluation of launch inhibitors and accelerators, innovation, idea and problem-solving generation, and implementation of new initiatives, plan modifications and capturing of new opportunities
  • Strong capability in critical thinking, problem-solving, creative solutions, and development of innovative yet practical ideas
  • Strong set of leadership skills including but not limited to creating a vision for the brand and neuroscience organization, mobilizing and energizing the direct and matrix team in achievement of aligned goals, and setting the example for demonstration of the portfolio of all BMS Values
  • Demonstrable results in the career progression of team members, and success in providing both recognition and developmental feedback; ability to design organizational structure and modifications to meet business needs
  • Highly adaptable mindset, and a focus on a growth and possibility mentality, balanced with the ability to inspect and drive attention to detail for excellent execution
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders, including all field-based customer-facing roles and functions. Ability to speak their language.
  • Proven track record in effectively and efficiently driving performance within a matrix organization, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills; be seen as the ultimate leader of the brand.

Compensation Overview:

$239,080 - $289,708

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience.   • US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays

Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.

*Eligibility Disclosure: T he summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
