Estate Planning Tax Attorney
We are a highly respected full-service law firm in the heart of Asheville, NC. We practice law in the following areas: business law, employment law, economic development, real estate & development, tax law, estate planning, trust & estate administration, elder law, intellectual property, litigation, and closely held businesses.
We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Tax Attorney to join our established Trusts & Estates practice. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who is passionate about sophisticated estate planning, complex tax matters, and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
-Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
-Prepare complex estate plans, wealth-transfer strategies, and related transactional documents
-Counsel high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on trust administration and tax-efficient planning
-Conduct legal research and provide written analyses on federal and state tax issues
-Collaborate with the firm's tax, corporate, and real estate attorneys on integrated planning
-Build and maintain strong client relationships through attentive communication and exceptional service
Qualifications
-J.D. from an accredited law school
-LL.M. in Taxation required
-Minimum 5 years of experience in estate planning and related tax matters
-Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
-Ability to manage a sophisticated workload with minimal supervision
-North Carolina Bar admission (or ability to obtain admission promptly)
