The Opportunity ConvenientMD is seeking a dedicated EMT-B to join our growing healthcare team, delivering exceptional urgent care to patients across New England. Your Impact Patient Interaction: Engage with patients in a welcoming and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications. Include explanations of prescribed medications, dosage instructions, and potential adverse reactions; offer guidance on lifestyle modifications, preventive healthcare measures, and follow-up care; address patient questions to ensure clear understanding of health status and options. Clinical Responsibilities: Support clinical operations and patient care. Include preliminary evaluations to triage patients and determine urgency; perform basic procedures such as taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and assisting with minor procedures; document patient information accurately and maintain electronic health records (EHRs) in compliance with privacy regulations. Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work with other clinical team members to coordinate patient care. Include effective communication with providers and healthcare professionals; assist with discharge plans; welcome and support training of new team members. Required Availability Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive or non-consecutive days. For full-time: three (3) 12-hour shifts per week, with at least four (4) shifts per month on a Saturday or Sunday. For part-time: two (2) 12-hour shifts per week, with at least two (2) shifts per month on a Saturday or Sunday. For per diem: four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, ideally one (1) shift per week. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. If needed, must be able to work at a minimum of three (3) other ConvenientMD locations within a one-hour travel distance from your primary clinic. Required to travel for training shifts which may occur outside of your primary clinic within a one-hour commute. Who You Are Education: High school diploma or GED required. Certification or demonstrated prior experience: Nationally certified and licensed EMT with at least one (1) year as an EMT. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online-only classes. Excellent team player: Enjoys collaborating within a strong team dynamic. Technically savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; able to learn Experity and other systems. Bonus Qualifications 1-2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department preferred. Pay is determined based on location, experience, market conditions, and budget considerations. The pay range listed reflects potential compensation for this role within this region.
