Job Summary We are looking for individuals to join our client's team as EKG Technician - Electrocardiograph. Under general medical supervision, and in accordance with standardized procedures, operates electrocardiograph equipment to record electrical wave tracing of electrical currents emanating from the heart muscle for use in the diagnosis of heart ailments; performs related work.
Job Description - Appropriately greets patients.
- Provides pre-procedure instructions.
- Checks for electronic requisition.
- Complies with hospital infection control protocols.
- Notes irregularities in recording process and reports malfunctioning of equipment to avoid serious damages.
- Maintains point of service logs.
- Prints copies of reports as may be need.
- Reconciles EKG reports in Trace Master with Misys/Quadramed orders.
- Scans Holter into documentation system and generate reports.
Skills Required - 2 years EKG Technician experience is required.
- Participates in annual education requirements.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
- Reports to work on time as scheduled.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written).
- Check Patient's present demographics and procedure order in Misys/Quadramed
- Microsoft literate Outlook Email
- Documentation in Misys/Quadramed
- Documentation in Trace Master
- Scans Holter in database - Operates system as required to generate reports.
Education/Training/Certifications - Completed High School (Diploma or GED)
- EKG Certification required.

- AHA BLS - required.
Additional Requirements - Adhere to company guidelines regarding COVID compliance.
- Malpractice Insurance - All clinical workers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice. A copy must be provided prior to start of assignment. All clinical workers licensed by the state of NY are required to provide.
- Shift Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM; every other weekend required.
