About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a long-term consulting role. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of a significant enterprise technology transformation, driving the modernization of core systems and leading a large-scale transition to a modern SaaS platform. This strategic and hands-on leadership position encompasses ownership of applications, operations, and mission-critical academic and administrative systems. Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day IT operations, advancing the application development function, driving cloud migration efforts, modernizing reporting and data governance, and ensuring the stability, security, and operational continuity of all enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of technology leadership experience, with a strong background in application development and cloud/SaaS migrations. Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) or ERP platforms is essential. The role requires excellent communication skills, a disciplined operational leadership approach, and a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams. A hands-on, proactive leadership style with a sense of urgency and ownership is also necessary. While not mandatory, experience in higher education, healthcare, or multi-site operations environments, as well as exposure to AI/automation tools and major cloud platforms, is considered a plus. The position demands a candidate who can maintain a strong on-site leadership presence and partner closely with the CIO on strategy, risk management, and cross-departmental initiatives.
