Type: Part-Time (15–30 Hours/Week), Year-Round

Schedule: Weekend Availability Required; shifts may start as early as 6:00 AM.

About the Role

Megunticook Market is looking for a motivated, self-starting individual to join our team as a Customer Service & Market Associate. This is a dynamic role designed for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our community. You will be the face of the market—handling everything from the morning coffee rush to precise register transactions and shelf styling.

Key Responsibilities

• Hospitality: Greet every customer with a friendly attitude; assist with questions and resolve concerns or complaints professionally and quickly.
• Transaction Management: Accurately process cash and credit payments while maintaining a secure and organized till.
• Market Operations: Prepare coffee, assist customers with order preparation, and ensure shelves are stocked and neatly organized.
• Maintenance: Maintain a clean, tidy, and food-safe work environment throughout the shift.
• Reliability: Arrive on time for early morning shifts and maintain a consistent commitment to the Friday–Tuesday schedule.

Qualifications

• Attitude: A friendly, "can-do" demeanor, even during busy hours or when dealing with difficult situations.
• Skills: Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and strong verbal communication skills. Can lift 50lbs.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to notice when shelves need stocking or tasks need doing without being asked.
• Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Availability: Must be able to work weekends and early mornings.
