Responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation, the role facilitates accurate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other patient caregivers, and medical records coding staff to ensure appropriate reimbursement and address all quality indicators. This individual ensures the accuracy and completeness of clinical information used for measuring and reporting physician and medical center outcomes, educates all members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis, promotes teamwork within the healthcare team, and performs all duties consistently with St. Luke’s mission and values. Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred. Experience: 2 years CDI experience required. Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri. Clinical Documentation Specialist Certification through ACDIS or AHIMA preferred.
